SofTap Certifications
Currently, there are four types of methods used for micropigmentation in the permanent cosmetic industry. One may implant pigment with either: the rotary or pen machine, a coil machine, a digital machine or by using a hand-held device, i.e., SofTap. The use of any one or all of these methods, if properly trained, will result in beautiful permanent cosmetic procedures.

Lynn Duncan, OTR, CPCP is a Certified SofTap Trainer as well as an Accredited Trainer/Instructor for the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals. The SofTap method of micropigmentation is the gentlest type of application. It is also the method that allows for extreme precision and maximal control while performing a permanent cosmetic procedure.

The SofTap method is the easiest to learn as the technician holds the hand-held device like a pen and is able to manipulate it with great control while she/he implants the pigment by gently moving the needles (located at the end of the pen) in an upward motion thus allowing the pigment to flow underneath the skin. When the needle releases the skin, it gently falls back into place while trapping the newly placed pigment, thus becoming a permanent cosmetic procedure. All of the procedures result in a very soft, natural appearance.

Brows can be designed with individual hair strokes, eyeliner and lipliner is easily accomplished with thin lines, and full lip color is accomplished in less than an hour.

In other words, the versatility is tremendous and the SofTap pigments are extremely rich, beautiful, and formulated with the highest quality of ingredients.

The equipment needed to perform permanent cosmetic procedures with SofTap is not only minimal, but also exceptionally easy with which to work. SofTap also utilizes a 100% disposable system Comfort System while leaving clean up a snap!

• Certificate of Completion - upon successful completion of the course
• Comprehensive Student Training Manual - upon receipt of a student's deposit, a Student Manual will be mailed for 40 hours of pre-study prior to the start of class
• Hands-On Training - The majority of class time is spent while students perform hands-on training on live models. Each student will complete a minimum of two full procedures, including: eyebrows, eyeliner, lipliner and full lip color. Direct supervision is provided while students perform procedures.
• Students may receive instructor-applied permanent cosmetic procedures at a discount. This is what you need for advertising!
• Cost of supplies needed in class is part of the tuition.
• Student kits are available for purchase following the completion of the training program.
